Camp Delta Zeta

a sisterhood retreat

Camp Delta Zeta was a sisterhood/recruitment retreat that I planned for our members in August of 2019. We drove down to Broken Bow, OK for an adventure that had never been done by our chapter before. The Still Waters cabin became our home for the weekend and so many memories were made. I planned food, activities and sleeping arrangements for 50 women with a budget of $2200.

Delta Zeta Recruitment

2019 formal fall recruitment

Delta Zeta participates in formal recruitment every fall semester and goes through 3 nights of meeting potential new members going through recruitment. This year I had the incredible privilege of being out Vice President of Membership, which means I am in charge of the way our recruitment is ran and how things will go.

I could not be happier with how the week turned out the pledge class that ran home on bid day. This back drop was created using a sheet hung on a step and repeat frame, pieces of crepe paper pinned with pearl pins. I wanted something to be behind the podium as I spoke just as something fun. This was incredibly easy and affordable, however it was very time consuming.

The balloon garland was created with fishing line and tying balloons together and feeding them down the line. After all the balloons were placed I went in and added the small and large balloons to help the garland look more full.

In this position I guided 72 women in how to recruit women, questions to ask and the necessary knowledge to have for the week. This position was incredibly rewarding.

Rookie Bridge Camp

   NSU Extended Orientation       Program

Rookie Bridge Camp is a 30 year running tradition at the Tahlequah campus of NSU. This year myself, Jayci Jones and MK Brinska had the privilege of being the 30th year director team. RBC is known for being wacky, crazy and bringing new students out of their shells before they come to camp. I was the director of registration and recruitment, which means I made every name tag, put every camper in a color group, small group and cabin and ran the social media accounts for the year. Being a director taught me how to work as a team, how to reach out to admin of our university and how to be a pro with excel and google sheets.
